2023 Hyundai Palisade vs. 2023 Lincoln Corsair

The 2023 Hyundai Palisade is a flagship SUV with a posh cabin, superb handling and a generous warranty. But how does it compare to the 2023 Lincoln Corsair, an SUV with a smooth cabin, excellent turbo power and a classy appearance?

Design & Style

The Lincoln Corsair is a compact SUV which seats five and now offers a hybrid plugin option. It has a sleek and elegant exterior with a cabin rich in metallic pipes, wood and leather. The cockpit features rectangular style vents with a large touchscreen and comfortable seats. When purchased as a hybrid plugin it comes with a battery pack that is 14.4 kWh with an electric range of twenty eight miles.

The Hyundai Palisade seats eight in 3 row seats and features the latest digital tech. It also comes with all-wheel drive, and its newest features for this year include standardized blind area monitoring and front drive for those that buy the Calligraphy edition. The cabin is serene and covered in upmarket materials with seats that are well cushioned, and though most models come with eighteen inch wheels, buyers can upgrade to twenty inches if desired.

Technology & Safety

The Hyundai Palisade is one of the world’s safest sport utility vehicles, and has captured both a five star NHTSA review and Top Safety Pick+ from the IIHS. It is equipped with numerous protective features such as parking sensors, activated lane control, emergency automated brakes and a camera with surround view. Its cabin comforts include Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, eight inch touch displays, quilted nappa style leather seats that can be cooled or heated and a sunroof which is dual paned.

The Lincoln Corsair is also very safe and has earned a five star NHTSA review as well as the Top Safety Pick. However, some versions have poorly rated headlights, which can become a big problem in dark environments. It has much of the same gear found in the Palisade, including a camera with surround view, emergency automated brakes, parking assistance and activated lane control. Its cabin comforts include Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, powered tailgate, seats that can be cooled or heated, panoramic sunroof, and fourteen speaker sound system from Revel.

Performance

The Lincoln Corsair is powered by a turbo 4, 2.3 liter engine that can generate 295 horsepower which enables it to accelerate from zero to sixty in in around 7 seconds.  The Hyundai Palisade is powered by a V6, 3.8 liter engine that can generate 291 horsepower with the ability to accelerate from zero to sixty in 7 seconds.

The Bottom Line

Both SUVs are evenly matched when it comes to performance, but the Palisade seats 3 more passengers and doesn’t have poorly rated headlights like the Lincoln Corsair, and it is these factors which make the Hyundai Palisade the winner.
